Operation Christmas Child Prayer Walk

Before the first shoebox is dropped off, we want to begin with prayer.

This year, New Beginnings Christian Fellowship is excited to serve as a new local drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. As we prepare for National Collection Week in November, we’re inviting our church family and community to join us for a special Operation Christmas Child Prayer Walk on Saturday, October 10 at 9:30 AM.

Together, we’ll walk the church property and pray over the ministry that will take place here—the volunteers who will serve, the individuals and families who will bring shoeboxes, the thousands of people serving throughout the collection process, and especially the children around the world who will ultimately receive these gifts.

Operation Christmas Child uses gift-filled shoeboxes packed with toys, school supplies, and personal care items to demonstrate God’s love to children in need and share with them the Good News of Jesus Christ. Since 1993, more than 244 million shoebox gifts have been collected and delivered around the world. Samaritan's Purse

During National Collection Week, volunteers at nearly 5,000 locations across the country will welcome and pray with those bringing their shoebox gifts. We are thankful that New Beginnings gets to be part of that mission this year, and we can’t think of a better way to begin than by covering it all in prayer.

Prayer sheets will be provided to help guide us as we walk, and bottled water will be available. We’ll meet rain or shine.

Come pray with us as we ask God to use something as simple as a shoebox to open doors for the Gospel and impact the life of a child.
